Optimizing Your Profile for Success

A complete, specific profile is what brands notice: it ranks higher in search and wins more orders. This article is for creators. Brands have a separate guide to optimizing their profile.

Key features of a strong profile

Profile photo and cover image

Your photos are the first impression brands get of you. Use a clear, high-quality profile photo. Avoid blurry, heavily filtered, or group photos that make it hard for brands to identify you. For your cover image, choose something that reflects your content style. For example, a travel creator might use a landscape shot, while a food creator might use a photo of their best dish.

Title

Your title should quickly tell brands who you are and what you specialize in. Specific titles perform better than vague ones. For example:

  • Strong: "Gluten-Free Cooking and Food Reviews"
  • Weak: "Foodie Creator"

Description

Your description is where you introduce yourself to brands. Share who you are, what your interests are, and what your strengths are as a content creator. A detailed description improves your chances of ranking higher in search. Be authentic, and highlight what makes you unique.

Content packages

Content packages are the services you offer. Offer a variety of packages across different platforms if you are active on more than one. For example, if you are on Instagram and TikTok, you could create packages for posts, stories, and short-form videos on both platforms.
When setting prices:

  • Start with competitive rates if you are just beginning, then adjust as you gain experience and demand.
  • Clearly outline what each package includes, for example one Instagram Reel with 15 to 30 seconds of edited footage.
  • Offer options for different budgets so brands have flexibility.

Portfolio

Your portfolio showcases your best work. Include three to five strong examples that reflect your creativity and quality. Highlight a mix of content types, such as photos, videos, or reviews, depending on your niche. Update your portfolio regularly so brands see your most recent work.

Add links to your active social platforms, such as Instagram, TikTok, or YouTube. These links do not need to be verified, but they should be up to date and link to your best content.

Reviews

Reviews from past collaborations affect your success on Collabstr. Respond quickly, communicate clearly, and deliver on time to earn positive feedback.

Optional profile details

You can add optional details to your profile, such as ethnicity, language, and keywords. Brands filter search results by these fields, so completing them increases your chances of being matched to campaigns that fit your background and audience.

Track your ranking in Insights

Once your creator account is verified, the Insights tab appears in your navigation and shows your overall marketplace ranking out of 5, based on Order Response Rate, Order Completion Rate, Profile Strength, and your reviews. A rating below 90% on Order Response Rate or Order Completion Rate is flagged Needs Improvement; 90% or higher is flagged Good.
Profile Strength is the percentage of your profile that is filled out. Below 100%, it links straight back to your profile editor.
Insights also shows two badges, Top Creator and Responds Fast, each marked as earned or not yet earned.

FAQ

How do I earn the Top Creator badge on my profile?

The Top Creator badge is awarded to the top 1% of creators on Collabstr. To qualify, you must consistently complete orders and receive strong feedback from brands. A high-standing profile does not guarantee the badge unless you are among the top 1%.
